Jin is a vocalist and the oldest member of BTS. He was in university studying acting, but was pursued for his good looks after a Big Hit employee saw him getting off a bus.
Jin's handsome face has also caused him to go viral several times ("Car Door Guy," "Third One From the Left," etc.) He is considered BTS's visual, and often makes jokes about how he is "Worldwide Handsome." Speaking of jokes, Jin is also proficient in telling very bad dad jokes. He also has gags such as his "flying kiss" (aka blowing kisses at everyone from fans to interviewers to fellow members.)
As the oldest member of the group in a very age-considerate culture, Jin should have power over the other members; however, he does not like to boss them around. He does like to care for and cook for his members. Between his mother-like role and his love for the color pink, Jin is often called a princess by fans. (It seems, however, that he does not like this nickname.)
Despite his outward bravado, Jin is very insecure about his singing talent. He used to get few to no lines in songs. In BTS's Youtube Red documentary series Burn the Stage, Jin talks about the different dream jobs he had throughout his life and how he only decided he wanted to sing at around 20 or 21. He claims he isn't exactly phenomenal, but fans AND ME PERSONALLY say otherwise.
Overall: Seokjin is lovably obnoxious but also touchingly charming.
